It feels like it was just yesterday when Natalie (photographer and really really close friend)  and i first met. This year i got the chance to meet so many amazing people like Zoe, Mayo, Christy, and so many other wonderful people (cheers to creating new memories together)! I got to attend events and experience my first net working parties and to even have my own business cards (thanks to Zoe and her dad!) I hope you guys like this all red ensemble which totally fits with the holiday spirit! Especially with the red and green contrast between the background and I, it just feels so christmasy. During the shoot i basically changed in the forest (scandalous) so i wasn't aware that 95% of the photos were filled with the un-buttoned collar. I really love how one button can change a look from a preppy  to a relaxed vibe. I'm definitely one to always button it up all the way since i love the way it ties the look together. I really like how the photos look as if i'm not actually in some university park but rather in a space of fantasy and wonder (if that makes any sense.. but you get what i mean). It just brings out the delicate, dreamy side of me hence the creepy way i stare into the camera lens pretending that it's a little tiny cow rather then a technological lens. What i really love about this look was how the cobalt blue and the fierce orange goes so well together (in my opinion of course). So i made a tumblr a few months ago however i just recently started getting back into it (after downloading the app on my iphone, re-blogging photos is so much easier!) I've literally been obsessed everything on my newsfeed is just so inspiring. Plus i wanted to do a post today since it's December 12, 2012 right now (well in hong kong anyways) i can't be bother to stay up till mid-night and wait for it to turn 12:12:12 which would make it 12.12.12.12.12.12. I actually wore this look (except for the glasses) to the electric-sekki event a few weeks ago. Although walking through the streets of central i got quite a few un-pleasent stares and narrow-minded people chatting it up about my fabulous put together creation (Oh wells i don't give a fish!). Oh and if anyone is wondering if i wear my outfit posts look out, well i do that's how i come up with looks to shoot with awesome photographers like Brian! For the emotions and face ''posing'' in the midst of these photos, i was totally inspired by those marc by marc jacobs ads. They always look like they don't care about anything in the world and they're just there to give the dead stare to the photographer (it's so inspiring)! I hope you guys enjoy the photos as much as i do // have a fabulous night!    0 comments | Comment ZAO ZAO DESIGNER IN FOCUS // Serena Chen Sunday, December 9, 2012 Serena's favorite piece out of all of her creations ''Take a rest ring''    All Photos from Serena Chen for Serena Chen Originally a shoe designer then finally after her studies with metal and jewelry design Chen was finally able to pursue her dream of creating handmade jewelry and eventually launched her label ''Serena Chen''.  The fact that each of the jewelry are handmade by wax we can appreciate that each one of her creations is a unique and special. My favorite has got to be the ''Take a rest Cuff'' it's made exquisitely and i really love the rose gold and mustard colors it goes so well together! 1. Hi can you please introduce yourself?  My name is Serena Chen, I am from Keelung, Taiwan. I used to be a shoe designer, after i finished my metal and jewelry design. I Studied at Konstfack in Sweden, i then began working in the jewelry industry. For pursuing my design dream, i started to launch into my own label Serena Chen. 2. What were your thoughts towards crowdfunding prior to using Zao Zao?  It is a great way to promote my designs by pre-ordering. Designers don't need to have stock since my pieces are handmade! 3. How did you feel, when you found out your designs were successfully funded?  It felt so good that someone appreciated my work and would like to have them. It was also a huge encouragement for me to move on and design more interesting and creative pieces. 4. What were your inspirations for your designs?  My life is always a constant inspiration to my designs. I depict the feeling of my life experience directly to be my inspirations. It's true and it reflects my brand identity. 5. What is one item that you absolutely crave for out of all your creations?  I think that it would be ''take a rest ring''. I learned sculpture before so when i built up the ring by wax, I felt like i was making a sculpture. This item has three dimension form and you can appreciate it at any angle. Like Zao Zao on facebook here! 1 comments | Comment HOUSE OF HOLLAND // LAB CONCEPT Saturday, December 8, 2012   The Gorgeous Stella from TheStellalice          A few photos from Zoe Last friday i had the chance to go to the House of Holland x Lab Concept holiday party with my partner in crime Zoe and we had a fabulous time. Especially when meeting Henry Holland himself i was just starstruck (he touched our backs)! He was totally down-to-earth and fabulously friendly. Although we only got to chat for 3-4 minutes (since he was busy with press/etc) it was really cool! After the event we decided to go to dinner although initially we wanted to go to Grappas but of course they were full. As we walked further into Pacific Place we came across a restaurant ''Roka'' which was filled with people. After ordering and chatting for a bit the food came and it was teensie weenie! The portions were small the food was weird especially the texture on the seaweed salad. We ordered two things an appetizer and a main course and water. The bill totaled up to 375 dollars which was a total rip. Anywhos i had a fab time and i can't wait for it to happen again next year! 1 comments | Comment NAVY PALETTE Tuesday, December 4, 2012         wearing // vintage coat // houndstooth turtle neck / navy trousers :: ZARA // Chelsea Boots :: Cos  Photos by: Brian Chan Woot Woot another outfit post! This time i got the chance to work with Brian Chan a photographer from hong kong who mainly shoots portraits but decided to switch it up a notch and shoot fashion photography! He is so talented you guys have to check out his page! In the midst of shooting the looks Brian blasted out some Lana Del Rey beats with his iPad connected to a tiny powerful boombox. I have to say i thought it was going to be a bit awkward working with a male photographer but it was surprisingly really relaxing and super fun! For the look it was super last minute (put together look) , i bought this turtle neck a few months ago but i never got the chance to wear it but now it's finally cold enough! On the day of the shoot it was colder then expected so i just threw on a vintage coat i got in Korea 2 years ago (which still fits really well!) I wanted to go with a Navy theme while focusing on the houndstooth print on the top and keeping it simple with a pair of black boots! Anywhos we shot 5 looks in the 2 hour session, i shall show you the rest in the next few weeks, now it's time for me to get some homework done and finish some korean dramas.
